Martha Lee Ison, age 75, of Charlestown, passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2012 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born December 18, 1936 in Hallie, KY the daughter of Manus and Mary Watts Ison. Mrs. Ison was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a retired license branch manager for the old Charlestown branch, and a member of the Regular Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Manus Ison, Jr. and Robert Ison; and a sister, Mary Lou Blair.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Ison; sons, Robert A. Ison (Denise), Michael R. Ison (Karen), and Gregory L. Ison (Kristal) all of Charlestown; brother, David Ison of North Vernon, IN; sisters, Sue Ison of Franklin, IN, and Margie Sexton of Indianapolis, IN; Grandchildren, Jacob, Chris, Darren, Elizabeth, Tanner, and Marlee.
Funeral Services will be held at 11am Saturday, August 25, 2012 at Grayson Funeral Home, Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3pm to 8pm on Friday, and after 9am Saturday.
Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Chester Hogg Regular Baptist Church.
