Mart Williams, Jr

Mart Williams, Jr., 80 of New Washington, IN passed away on Monday, August 21, 2023, at Silvercrest in New Albany, IN.

He was born on February 18, 1943, in Charlestown, IN to Mart and Aileen Blessett Williams. He was a truck driver for the City of Jeffersonville, IN.

Mart was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Kathy Kendall; step-granddaughter, Britany Hawkins, brother-in-law, Darrell Austin.

Mart is survived by his wife, Mary Ann Griffith Williams, son, Jason Chamness (Karen) of New Washington; daughters, Paula Leubbe (Joe) of Trenton, OH, Barbara Blessett (Lee) of Otisco, IN and Annie Warren (Matthew) of Marysville, IN; brother, Earl Williams (Melody) of Charlestown; sisters, Mae Thomas (Ronnie) of Crandall, IN, Roberta Austin of Charlestown, Ann Pottinger of Louisville, KY; grandchildren, Kaelin Williams (Trenton), Austin Chamness (Kara), Chris Webb (Bridgett), Michael Baker; great-grandchildren, Kase Sampson, Emma Shepherd, Brooklyn Webb, Lorelei Baker; 7 step-grandchildren and 12 step great-grandchildren.

Life Celebration Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and after 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.
