Mr. Melson was born September 2, 1931 in Montiplier, KY the son of Paul Clifford and Josephine Spencer Melson and died Friday, July 25, 2008 at Clark Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was preceded in death by a son, Marshall Melson, Jr. Mr. Melson retired from General Electric in Louisville after 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Mullins Melson; sons, Bruce A. Melson, Kingwood, TX and Jeffrey S. Melson, Pace, FL; daughters, Terri A. Redmond, Roswell, GA. And Lisa Melson Jones, Houston, TX; brother, Leon Melson, Clarksville, IN; sister, Linda Bibbs, Louisville; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
