Marjorie Waunetta (Giesler) Sexton

Marjorie “Marge” Waunetta Sexton entered eternal life on Friday, March 4th, 2022 at the age of 88.

Marjorie was born on August 15, 1933 to Albert & Alice Giesler. She was the youngest of 9 children, all of which proceeded her in death. She grew up in Canaan, IN and graduated from Central High School. She went on to marry the love of her life, George, on October 3rd, 1953, and the two of them shared 57 beautiful years of marriage and 3 children: Sue Ann, David & Danny.

She was known for her great sense of humor and witty personality. She had a profound love for her family and was a very hospitable person. No one ever left her house hungry, she made sure of that! She enjoyed playing Euchre, taking country drives, and spending time at church. She loved lipstick, flashy jewelry, and big purses, especially if they were red.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband George D. Sexton, Sr., her youngest son Danny N. Sexton, and her great-granddaughter, Breanna “Bree” Brown.

Survivors include her daughter, Sue Ann Sexton of Henryville, IN; son George “David” Sexton, Jr. (Andrea) of Charlestown, IN; grandchildren, Jennifer Brown (Mike), Christopher West (Allison), Alex Sexton, and Brandon Sexton; and great grandson Bailen Brown.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 12 pm at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2 pm to 8pm and after 9 am on Wednesday also at the funeral home.
