Marietta (Carey) Shepard

Marietta Shepard 94, of Otisco, IN passed away on Friday February 11, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on September 27, 1927, in Marion Co., Kentucky to Leroy and Hester Brown Carey.  She was a former secretary and member of the North Charlestown Church of God and the ladies auxiliary of the American Legion and V.F.W.

Marietta was preceded in death by her first husband Alonzo Neal, second husband Paul Sands, brother Bobby Crum and sister Beatrice Flynn.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Shepard, son, Michael Neal of Otisco; brother, Bill Carey (Mora) of Clarksville, IN; grandchildren, Mark Neal (Dorothy) of New Albany, IN, John Neal of Sellersburg, IN and Todd Neal (Amy) of Charlestown, IN; great grandchildren, Lincoln Ottersbach, Summer Neal, Ethan Neal, Kelsey Roberts, Halee Roberts, Bella Neal, Tierney Rhodes; great great grandchildren, Hadley and Hudson Crace.

Life Celebration Services will be at 11:00 am on Friday February 18, 2022, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday and after 9:00 am on Friday.
