Marianne Waymire Miller, 87 of Hanover, IN passed away on Friday July 10, 2015 at Hanover Health and Rehab.
Mrs. Miller was born on October 2, 1927 in Pendleton, IN to Arthur Lee and Kathryn Ella Arnold Waymire. She graduated from Lapel High School in 1945 attended both Ball State University and Elkhart Business College, graduating as a medical secretary. She married Maurice Lewis Miller on June 6, 1948. She was a former Real Estate Agent for 23 years and taught brokerage classes at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. She and her husband owned a real estate office together. Marianne served as President of the Cincinnati Women’s Council of Realtors and Ohio President of Certified Residential Specialists. When they retired, they moved to Madison, IN where she soon re-entered the real estate field, not retiring until age 75. Marianne and her husband moved for 4 years to Washington to be near Maryse. In 2012, they returned to Hanover and became members of Hanover United Methodist Church and enjoyed antiquing, reading and church activities including VBS. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Martha Milner and Susie Waymire.
Survivors include her husband, Maurice Miller; daughters, Jan Terese Anderson (Terry) of Lexington, IN and Maryse Jill Sagewynd (Gregory Book) of Orcas Island, WA; sister, Marjorie Schug of Pendleton, IN; 5 grandchildren, Jason and Mary-Lena Kikta, and their children Andrew, Ben, Nathan; Josh and Melissa Kikta, and their children Mikko, Zeke, Heikki; Jennifer and Doug Marshall, and their children Mielle, Avianna, Davian; Sarah and Evan Roush, and their children Brody, Lilah, Caroline; Evan and Jennifer Kikta. There are also 2 step-grandchildren: Bill Anderson and Brad and Lee Ann Anderson, and their children Brandon, Brandi and her daughter Albion and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday July 14, 2015 at Hanover Methodist Church with burial in Springdale Cemetery in Madison, IN. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 7 pm on Monday at Grayson Funeral Home in Hanover and after 9:30 am on Tuesday at her church.
