Mrs. Humes, 88, of Charlestown passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2009 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
She was born on March 31, 1920 in St. Clair, TN the daughter of Dr. Frank and Byrdie Chestnut Horner. Ms. Humes was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Bernard Humes, and two brothers. She was a retired R.N. from the Old General Hospital which is now the University of Louisville Hospital and a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses in Charlestown, IN.
She is survived by her four sons: Kenneth Humes (Susan), Charlestown, IN, Donald B. Humes (Sue), Decatur, IL, Robert Larry Humes (Gail), Depauw, IN, and James Thomas Humes (Marie), Charlestown, IN; daughter Dianne Reynolds (David); several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
