Margaret Ann Clark Hall, 78, formally of New Albany, In. passed peacefully in her sleep early Wednesday, Oct. 21 at 2:10 am in her Indianapolis home.
Margaret was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a genteel lady of such magnitude and a woman of immense faith. She loved and was well loved by family, friends, co-workers and all who met her.
She served in the Women's Army Corps; she chartered cruises and bus tours in Washington D.C., cartographer for the U.S. government until retirement, and then worked part-time at the Louisville Kentucky Committee on Publication and the Public New Albany Library.
Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Willard Hall of Memphis, Tn., mother, Gladys Williams of Charlestown, In., her brother, Phillip Hall of Coldwater Ms., her niece, Carol Gunter Thompson, her husband, Joe Clark and her beloved grandson, Brandt Clark Melton of New Albany, In.
She is survived by her darling daughters, Valerie Clark Cauley (Paul) of Indianapolis, Vicki Clark Melton of New Albany, In. Four cherished grandchildren, Brittany Jacobs of New Albany, Valerie Bensing (Chris) of Pittsburgh, Pa., Brandt Clark Melton (deceased) and Chloe Margaret Melton of Orlando, Fl. Two precious great-grandchildren, Thaddeus and Camilla Bensing. Two loving sisters, Josephine McConnell of Greenfield, In. and Wanda Deaton (Bill) of Charlestown, In., and 9 adoring nieces.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm on Saturday October 24, 2015 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will be from 12 pm to 2 pm on Saturday.
