Mabel Irene Oglesby Scrivner, 80, of New Albany, IN, passed away on Monday, July 18, 2016 at her home.
She was born on July 24, 1935 to Roy and Stella (Green) Oglesby in Charlestown, IN. She worked as a chief medical technologist for Clark Memorial Hospital for 39 years, and was a member of St. James United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her son Steven Scrivner (Donna) of New Albany, IN; sisters, Mary Huggins of Charlestown, IN, Mildred Oglesby (Fred Heath) of Cincinnati, OH, and Stella Juanita Oglesby of Charlestown, IN; brothers, George F. Oglesby (Naomi) of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren, Victoria Scrivner of Louisville, KY, Maya Mallard of Atlanta, GA, Nick Goins of Denver, CO, and John Goins of New Albany, IN; great-grandchildren, Ayden Cundiff of Jeffersonville, IN, and Janiya Mallard of Atlanta, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2016 at 11am at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in the Westhaven Cemetery in New Albany, IN. Visitation will begin after 10am on Saturday.
