Mabel Louise Cochran, 72 of New Washington passed away on Sunday, July 28, 2013 at Clark Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Cochran was born December 1, 1940 in Bethlehem, IN the daughter of Phillip Smith and Alma Lucille McDowell Smith Bibb. She was retired from Flexible Materials in Jeffersonville after several years of service and enjoyed gardening, flowers and her beloved pet Stella. She was a member of the Main Cross Baptist Church and attended Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons, Charles D. Cochran,Sr. (Tamela) of New Washington and George P. Cochran(Donna) of Clarksville, IN; daughters, Beth Ann Deal(Philip) of New Washington and Michelle L. Cochran of Indianapolis; brothers, Marvin “Gene” Smith of New Washington, Vernon and Buddy Smith both of Clarksville, IN; grandchildren, Matt, Brandi, Charles Jr., Shelby, Amber, David, Alicia, Madison, Phillip, Jr., Ashley and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Zach, Carley, Paxton, Hannah and Kailyn. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Hobert Lee Cochran on January 12, 2005.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 1, 2013 at the Grayson Funeral Home in New Washington with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held beginning at 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday and after 9:00 A.M. on Thursday until time of service.
