Lorraine L. Bowen, 87 of Charlestown, IN passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at her home.
Mrs. Bowen was born on November 28, 1928 in Dayton, OH the daughter of James Albert and Laura McGuffey Lewis Sr. who preceded her in death. She was a retired long time employee of the old First Bank of Charlestown, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Charlestown, Clark County Homemakers Club, The Wesleyn Circle and the Ladies Union Club.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Robert L. Bowen; daughters, Marilyn McDaniel and her husband Tim of Charlestown, Carol Combs and her husband Vic of Lancaster, TX; son, Peter L. Bowen and his wife Sharon of Charlestown; sister, Betty Coombs of Charlestown; brothers, James A Lewis Jr. (Anna Mae) of Charlestown, Russell Lewis (Mary Lou) of Jacksonville, FL, and Ray Lewis (Lynn) of Clarksville; and 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 pm at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown and after 9 am on Saturday at the church.
