Loretta (Dean) Smith

Loretta Dean Smith, 73 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Sunday July 16, 2017 at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, IN.
She was born on March 14, 1944 in Otisco, IN to Ernest and Nellie Early Dean. She was a former cake decorator and caterer, a former employee of Greater Clark County Schools Corporation and member of the Community Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sherrill Smith; sisters, Norma Cole, Madeline Yates and Wanda Arbuckle; brothers, Ernest Dean Jr., Ralph Dean and Jimmy Dean.
Survivors include her sons, Tracy Smith (Rachel) of Marysville, IN and Sherrill Smith (Starr) of Pinellas Park, FL; brothers, Denny Dean (Jean) of Kokomo, IN and Steve Dean (Brenda) of Charlestown; sisters Judy Wells of New Washington, IN, Geri Dean Heal (John) of Charlestown and Carol Dean Graves (Terry) of Nabb, IN; grandchildren, Brittany Smith, Bradley Smith, Courtney Smith and Levi Smith; great grandchildren Colten Smith, Barrett Smith and Hayden Fust and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Thursday July 20, 2017 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Barnes Cemetery in Nabb. Visitation will be from 2 pm to 8 pm on Wednesday and after 9 am on Thursday.
