Loretta B. Singer, a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away on April 10, 2026, in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Born on December 31, 1946, in Charlestown, Indiana, at home, she lived a life marked by dedication, love, and hard work, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Loretta was known for her loving nature and her strong commitment to her family. A hard worker with a passion for cooking, she found joy in preparing meals for her loved ones and created a warm and welcoming atmosphere wherever she went. Beyond the kitchen, she spent her time reading her Bible, spending quality moments with her family, and engaging in the lively game of Bunco, activities that reflected her spirited and caring personality.

One of Loretta’s proudest accomplishments was watching her family grow and witnessing their many significant achievements. Her devotion to her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren was a cornerstone of her life. She leaves behind her beloved sons, Joey Amick, Jerry Amick, Darin Amick (and his wife Michelle), and David Amick. Her extended family includes her brothers, Lonnie Freels and Donald Freels, and Norman Amick, who was the father of her children.

Loretta’s grandchildren, Courtney (Corey) Snider, Deven Amick, Marcus Amick, Sydney Amick, Brittney Amick, Kylie Amick, Jace Amick, and Jenna Amick, alongside her great-grandchildren Everleigh Snider, Paislee Snider, Bentlee Tarter, Aribella Tarter, and River Snider, all carry forward her legacy of love and family unity.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl Freels and Mary Freels, and her brother, Floyd Freels. Their memory remains cherished by all who survive her.

A graveside service to honor Loretta’s life will be held on April 15, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Hibernia Cemetery, located at 5818 Blue Ridge Road, Charlestown, Indiana.
