Lorene Elizabeth Johnson, 90, of Otisco, IN, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Baptist Health Floyd.
She was born on November 23, 1926 to Leonard and Opha (Shoemaker) Booth in Powell Co., KY. She was a retired cafeteria worker for Greater Clark County Schools, member of the Red River Gorge Historical Society, and North Charlestown Church of God. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, J.T. Johnson; daughter, Sheila Johnson; grandson, Christopher Johnson .
Survivors include her sons, David Johnson of Charlestown, IN, and Steve Johnson, Sr. and his wife Delana (Susie) of Clay City, KY; daughters, Phyllis Rosebrock and her husband Ray of New Washington, IN, Charlotte Wiley of Charlestown, IN, and Lisa Clapp and her husband Mike of Marysville, IN; brothers, Norval Booth of Winchester, KY, Sherman Booth of Clay City, KY, Wayne Booth, of Clay City, KY, and Shelby Booth of Clay City, KY; sisters, Joyce Epperson of Stanton, KY, and Alene Logan of Taswell, TN; grandchildren, Melissa Stewart (Brian), Amy LaRusso, Amanda Burns (Jason), Steve Johnson, Jr., Chris Rosebrock, Jonathan Wiley, Travis Clapp (Brittany), and Joshua Johnson; 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at 2pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial to follow in the Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will begin on Monday from 3pm to 8pm, and after 9am on Tuesday.
