Mrs.Holmes, 71, of Charlestown passed away on Aug. 20, 2008 at Norton Health Care Pavilion in Louisville, Ky.
She was born Jan. 14, 1937 in Perry County, IN the daughter of Elmer and Stella Ann McClaster Huff. She was an environmental service worker for The University of Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her sons, Stuart E. Lacefield and John L. Logsdon Jr. and her stepson Steve Holmes.
She is survived by her husband, Wade Holmes of Charlestown; daughters, Barbara (Marvin) Sexton of Louisville, KY and Rita (Alan) Smith of New Albany, IN; stepsons, Larry (Carol) Holmes, Gary Holmes, and Chris (Missy) Holmes all of Charlestown, IN; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
