Lloyd Earl Poindexter

Lloyd Earl Poindexter, 90, of Jeffersonville, IN passed away on Thursday January 23, 2014 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. He was born on September 30, 1923 in Cumberland Co, Kentucky to Jessie Frank and Delia Bow Poindexter. Mr. Poindexter was a plumber and a retired employee of Culligan Soft Water Service and an Army veteran of WWII. He was preceded in death by his companion Olene Cox.
He is survived by his sons: Michael Poindexter (Leah Ann) of Otisco, IN, Leon Poindexter (Linda) of Underwood, IN, Anthony Poindexter (Sharon) of Marengo, IN, and Phillip Poindexter of Clarksville, IN; daughters: Melissa Thompson (Gary) of Sellersburg, IN, Robin Bottorff (Dale) of Charlestown, IN, and Rebecca Poindexter of Floyds Knobs, IN, and his life long friend Benny Rouch of New Albany, IN. and 12 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2pm at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday beginning at 10am until the time of the service.
