Lita Vest Foley

Lita Vest Foley, 73 of Lexington, IN passed away Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Scott Memorial Hospital in Scottsburg, IN.

Lita was born February 15, 1945 in Marquette, MI the daughter of Esther Mary Koepp Canary. She was known as a very giving person and her home was always open to anyone who needed a place to eat and stay, especially children. Lita was an animal lover, enjoyed country living, expert at making strawberry preserves and at Christmas making Gum Drop Cakes.

Survivors include her husband of 33 years John Foley; son, James Vest of Otisco, IN; daughter, Pam Furrow of Scottsburg, IN; grandchildren, Eric Hawkins(Elizabeth) of Charlestown and Brittany Hall of Henryville, IN; great-grandchildren, Richard, Emma, Charlotte, Kason and Kaylee; step-sons, Scott Foley, Steve Foley and Mark Foley; several step grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Lita was preceded in death by her mother Esther Mary Canary.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 18, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Sunday from 1:00 to 6:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Monday until the time of services. Expressions of Sympathy in memory of Lita may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
