Linda S. Pritcher, a cherished resident of Madison, Indiana, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, at the age of 82. Born on May 18, 1943, in Prospect, Kentucky, Linda lived a life marked by creativity, warmth, and a deep love for those around her.
From an early age, Linda's passions shone through. She had a remarkable talent for sewing and was an accomplished seamstress who took great joy in making drapes, collecting exquisite fabrics, and diligently maintaining her sewing machine. Her artistic flair extended to various arts and crafts projects, which she pursued with enthusiasm and care. Linda’s home was a testament to her love for cooking, where she not only delighted in preparing meals but also in collecting cookbooks from diverse culinary traditions. In her younger years, she embraced the joys of fishing—both the thrill of the catch and the pleasure of savoring her fresh fish. Her affection for animals was evident in her careful tending of her beloved cats and dogs. In her final years, she found comfort in the companionship of her beloved dog Tommy, with whom she now rests in peace.
Linda’s family and friends were a central part of her life. She is survived by her loving niece, Sherry Hunter; her sister, Deloris Van Mye; nieces, Shari Wilson; nephews, Michael Neace, Gary Wayne Purvis, Chris Wyatt, Jerry Neace, David Van Wye, and Kenneth Van Wye; and many great nieces and nephews who held her in high regard. She was also closely cared for and supported by her devoted companion and caretaker, Joyce Thorpe.
Throughout her life, Linda experienced profound loss alongside her joys. She was predeceased by her mother, Mary Lyle; father, Murrell Lyle; sisters, Catherine Wyatt and Margaret Neace; nephews, Mark Wyatt and Rickie Van Wye; and nieces, Debbie Conklin, Ilea Mannering, and Pam Bell.
Linda S. Pritcher’s life was one of dedication, artistry, and unconditional love. She enriched the lives of those around her with her kindness and creativity.
Her family has planned a celebration of Linda's life later in the summer.
