Linda B Gividen

Linda B. Gividen, 58, of Nabb, IN passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, IN.

Linda was born on November 7, 1962, in Scottsburg, IN to James O. and Mary Irene Noe Boley who preceded her in death.  She was a warehouse coordinator at American Fuji Seal in Jeffersonville, IN and had previously been a dietary manager and farmer.

Linda enjoyed time baking, cooking, and crafting.  She looked forward to her fall hayride each year with family and friends.  Each December she spent several days baking and preparing her famous cookie trays.  Linda enjoyed the small things in life-coming home to a freshly cut hay field and mowing the grass.  She enjoyed time on the road, camping, and yearly trips to Michigan and Shipshewana.

She was most proud of her three girls for being the first generation of college graduates.  She will forever be a Purdue Boilermaker, Franklin Grizzly and University of Southern Indiana Eagles fan.  Although, the miles apart were tough, Linda was happy that Kaelin pursued her dream of teaching English in South Korea.

Linda loved being a Grammy.   She and Emersyn had a special bond.  They enjoyed baking, playing games, riding rzr’s, and looking at pictures together.  Linda was a true giver.  Her gift of tissue donation as her last wish reflects her generous self.

Linda is survived by her soulmate and best friend, Leroy Gividen; her three girls, Casey Irene (Ben) Shireman of Lexington, IN, Mary Kaelin Hentrup of Marysville, IN and Ashley Margaret Hentrup of Marysville; Step daughter, Leanne (John) Peeples of Columbus, IN; brothers, James Boley of Underwood, IN, Jerry Boley of Scottsburg, IN; sisters, Janet McNear of Scottsburg, Jean Coomer of Inverness, FL and Martha Lizenby of Scottsburg; grandchildren Jacob Peeples, Reece Peeples, Emersyn Shireman and a baby boy on the way; her ex-husband and father of her girls, Jerome Hentrup.

Life Celebration Services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday August 14, 2021, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Barnes Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Friday and after 9:00 am on Saturday.
