Lewis "Pete" Garrett

Lewis “Pete” Garrett, 90, of Charlestown died Saturday Dec. 24, 2011 at Baptist East Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on May 8, 1921 in Clay County, KY to Noble and Dollie Mae Woods Garrett.  Pete was a retired mechanic and carpenter and a member of the North Charlestown Church Of God.

Survivors include his wife Thelma Hattabaugh Garrett, daughter; Louise Griffith of Batavia, OH, grandchildren James and Louise Griffith of Batavia, OH, step-sons; Gary Robertson of New Albany, IN, Ronnie Hattabaugh of Jeffersonville, IN, Step-daughters; Betty Anderson of Bradenton, FL and Sandra K Wray of Charlestown, IN, brothers; Lawrence Garrett of Franklin, KY and Wade Garrett of San Diego, CA, sisters; Loretta Olzer of Anderson, CA and Margie Sparks of Jeffersonville and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday Dec. 28, 2011 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.  Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 10 a.m. on Wednesday.
