Levoyd King, age 77, of Madison , IN passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Clark Memorial Hospital .
Mr. King was born October 22, 1934 in Iuka , Miss. the son of Null D. and Lillian Maze King. He was retired form the former Reliance Electric Co. in Madison , and was a U. S. Army Veteran during the Korean War Era and a member of the American Legion Post and the Moose Lodge in Madison . He enjoyed hunting, fishing and taking long walks.
Survivors include his wife Judy Scott King, Madison; son, Leroy King(Jennifer), Columbus, OH; daughters, Barbara McKinney(Bill), Phoenix, AZ and Donna Watterson(Al), Madison; step-daughters, Jackie Boaz(John), Madison and Kay Witt(Russ), New Albany, IN; brother, Myrl King, Columbus, OH; sisters, Linda Baker, Dayton, OH, Jean Patterson, Louisville, KY and Vivian Beavers, Ocala, FL; grandchildren, Joshua Watterson(Jenny), Jared Watterson(Maegan) and Emilee King; great-grandchild, Jaiden Norris; step-grandchild, Deana Carl; step-great-grandchildren, Bryce and Brandon Carl; he was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Joyce Nichols King 1982, brothers, Junior “Ned” and John Hillman King, sister, Doris Mae Schilt and a grandson, Jessup Levoyd Watterson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, October 31, 2011 at the Grayson Funeral in New Washington, IN. with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery . Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3:00 to 6:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. Monday until time of service.
Expressions of Sympathy in memory of Mr. King may take the form of donations to the Wounded Warriors Program.
