Leroy Rosengarn

Leroy Rosengarn, 82 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY.

Leroy was born on July 30, 1941, in Charlestown, IN to Ralph Rosengarn and Mary Doss Hollowell.  He was a carpenter and painter in his early working years. Leroy was a member of the Main Cross Independent Baptist Church in Charlestown, IN. He enjoyed fishing, was a very skilled woodworker, and the challenge of putting puzzles together.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Jenkins Rosengarn; daughter, Michelle Knight and her husband Dennis of Bee Spring, KY; son, Michael Rosengarn and his wife Sherry of Otisco, IN; brother, Donnie Hollowell of Nabb, IN; sister, Wanda James of Jeffersonville, IN; grandchildren, Cindy, Amanda, Shawn, Thomas, Shane and Stephany; and 10 great grandchildren.

Leroy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Jimmy Shuping, Harold Rosengarn, Martin Rosengarn, Robert Rosengarn and sister, Annie Wolfe.

Life Celebration Services will be at 1:00 pm Monday, July 15, 2024, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 3:00 – 6:00 pm Sunday, July 14, and after 12:00 pm on Monday. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Leroy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
