Leroy W. Fields, 81 of Charlestown died Saturday June 8, 2013 at Kindred Transitional Care in Corydon, IN.
He was born on April 3, 1932 in Letcher County, KY to Manon and Vada Ingram Fields who preceded him in death along with his wife, Effie Fields and sister Jean Byrd.
He was a member of the Chester A. Hogg Regular Baptist Church in Charlestown, an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War and a retired Telecommunications Technician for Western Union.
He is survived by his sons; Jeff Fields (Rhonda) of Corydon, IN and Steve Fields (Cathy) of Florence, KY and sister; Anne Bowling (Ellis) of Charlestown, IN, grandchildren Sam, Joe, Tom, Jake and Tanner.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday June 12, 2013 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. on 8 p.m. on Tuesday and after 9 a.m. on Wednesday
