Lena Catherine "Cathy" (Mccoy) Lake

Lena Catherine “Cathy” Lake 74 of Louisville, KY passed away on Saturday January 14, 2023, at Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Louisville, KY.

She was born on August 1, 1948, in Jonesville, VA to Russell Dale and Blanche DeBusk McCoy.  Cathy was a retired employee at the Center for Independent Living for the Blind in Louisville, KY. She enjoyed growing flowers, spending time with her grandchildren, watching Law and Order and C.S.I. and working with the blind.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Eddie, Bobby and Darrell McCoy, and her sister, Betty Jo Daniel.

Survivors include her children, Bruce Taylor (Carrie) of Louisville, William Lake (Jessie) of Simpsonville, KY, and Laura Lake of Louisville; brothers, Ernie McCoy of Louisville and Glen McCoy of Charlestown, IN; sister, Rita Yeo of Billerica, MA; grandchildren, Caitlin Taylor, Jacob Taylor, Alexis Lake, Desmond Harris and Simon Lake.

Life Celebration Services will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday January 21, 2023, at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday.
