Leah Leona Hatfield

Mrs. Hatfield was born on June 27, 1917 in Louisville, KY and passed away on Sunday Dec. 27, 2009 at Maple Manor Christian Home in Sellersburg.

She was the daughter of Claude and Lydia Kendall Bogard who preceded her in death. She was a retired department head for Kmart and a member of First Baptist Church in New Washington.

Mrs. Hatfield was also preceded in death by sisters Virginia Seeders, Nellie Sturgeon, Rosalie Reynolds, and Verna Mae Whaley; brothers Tommy Bogard, Pete Bogard, Bootsie Bogard, and Bobby Bogard.

She is survived by her husband Derice "Griff" Hatfield of Jeffersonville, In; daughters Linda Balmer of Charlestown, IN, Janice Hatfield of Jeffersonville, IN, Martha West of Henryville, IN and Virginia Schindler of New Washington, IN, brother Donald Bogard of Jeffersontown, KY; sister Doris Jean Drury of Mt. Washington, KY; 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
