Laura Grace Davidson, 87 of Madison, IN passed away on Friday, December 30, 2016 at River terrace Health Campus in Madison, IN.
Laura was born on May 21, 1929 in Bethlehem, IN to Perry Monroe and Mellisa Dean Monroe.
She worked for 21 years at Southwestern Jr.-Sr. High School in Hanover, IN. The last 15 years she was the head cook before retiring in 1992. She was a homemaker while her children were young. She enjoyed being the Lay leader, Secretary and Ladies Aid President of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Paynesville, IN. She also served as Secretary and Treasurer of Mt. Zion Cemetery Association from 1974 until her death.
She was an inspiration to her family and many people throughout the community through her love, faith, honesty and sense of humor.
Survivors include her daughter, Anna Rousch (Matt) of Madison, IN; son, Allen Davidson (Rose) of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Ruth Wodraska of Tavares, FL; grandchildren, Ron Storie (Stephanie), David Storie (Dolly), Laura Stockdale (Rex), Ryan Foust, Elena Hacker (James), Remmy Davidson, Grant Davidson; great grandchildren, Lacey, Zach, Ashton, Hope, Tristan, Alexis, Lani, Keagan, Mello and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Marvin Davidson of 59 years of marriage; brother, Dan Monroe and sister, Anna Mae Owens.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at 11am at Grayson Funeral Home in Hanover, IN with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Paynesville, IN. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4pm to 8pm and after 9am on Thursday until time of service.
