Larry Thomas Lathem, Sr., 67, passed away Friday at the VA Medical Center.
He was born on May 6, 1944 to Thomas Stanley and Rachel Vest Lathem in Jeffersonville, IN. He was an Army Veteran, and he worked at the old ICI Americas, he also worked as a construction worker, and for Decker’s Food Mart. He was also a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Lathem of Charlestown, IN; daughter, Rachel Thomas (Bubby) of Charlestown, IN; sons, Larry Lathem, Jr. (Anna) of Louisville, KY, and Gary Lathem (Denise) of Jeffersonville, IN; brother, Ronald Lathem (Martha) of Charlestown, IN; sister, Barbara Risk (Bill) of Lexington, IN; 13 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 1pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, with burial in the Hibernia Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1pm to 8pm and after 9am on Tuesday.
