Lamon Williams Sr, of Charlestown, passed away on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at Hillcrest Village in Jeffersonville.
He was born on Jan 27, 1926 to Hardy and Ruthie Powers Williams in Lebanon, Kentucky.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret F. Grimes Williams of Charlestown, IN; sons, Ernie L. Williams of Charlestown, and Laymon Williams Jr. (Sandra K.) of Charlestown; daughter Janet L. Welch of Jeffersonville, IN; sister Juanita McGraw of Louisville, KY, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Michael Williams.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday July 8, 2014 at 1PM at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial to follow in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 3-8PM and again on Tuesday beginning at 9am.
