LaJuana Elizabeth Cobb, 62 formerly of Charlestown, IN passed away on Friday December 16, 2016 at Breckenridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg, KY.
She was born on September 2, 1954 in Tell City, IN to Doug and Lucille Weedman Mathena. She was a former beautician, the General Manager for WOBS Radio and a Pastors wife for 42 years and a member of the Custer First Church of God in Custer, KY.
She was preceded in death by her father Doug Mathena and grandparents Vadie and Mose Weedman
She is survived by her husband, Rev. James Cobb; daughter, Beth Spencer (Josh) of Charlestown, IN; step-sons, Jim Cobb (Lisa) and Kenneth Cobb (Cathy) both of Louisville, KY; step-daughter, Jamie Stephens (Troy) of Charlestown; mother, Lucille Mathena of Rome, IN; brothers Bryan Dixon (Diane) of Rome, IN, Dale Dixon of Rome, IN and Melvin Weedman (Judy) of Newburg, IN; sisters, Faye Schwartz (Denny) of Rome, IN and Wanda Kellems (Hobart) of Tell City, IN; grandchildren, Isabella, McKinley, AnnaKate, Molly, Livia, Emily, Brian, Laura, Bradley and Sarah and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday December 20, 2016 at Charlestown Independent Church with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 pm to 8 pm on Monday at Grayson Funeral Home and on Tuesday after 10 am at the church.
