Kenneth Charles Johnson, 55, of Charlestown, Indiana passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2026. He was born on September 19, 1970, in Scottsburg, Indiana. He was the son of Ollie (Porter) Johnson and the late Kenneth Johnson. Charlie graduated from Charlestown High School and was employed at Autoneum in Jeffersonville as a maintenance mechanic/specialist, a highly skilled position. He enjoyed his work immensely and in his free time did auto mechanics. He also loved to travel and rode his motorcycle to Daytona for Bike Week and took many road trips. He was impressed by the landscapes of the Black Hills, Montana, Crater Lake and was always at home in nature. Charlie enjoyed spending time with family and especially close lifetime friends, Dewayne Corn and Eddie Pierce. He shared a close bond with his dedicated canine buddy, Sable.
Charlie will be lovingly remembered and sorely missed by his many friends and extended family. He was kind, generous and always had a ready smile. He was known for his easy-going personality, warmth and sense of humor.
Charlie was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Ray Johnson. Survivors include: his mother, Ollie Johnson of Charlestown, Indiana, sisters Amanda (Johnson) Bratcher of Charlestown and Arlene Johnson of Indiana.
