Kathryn "Kathy" (Corbin) Cox

Kathryn “Kathy” Corbin Cox 78 of Otisco, IN passed away on Friday October 6, 2023, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born to Ruby Kathryn Fox Corbin and Cecil Carroll “Sandy” Corbin on August 27, 1945.  She was raised by her loving grandparents Leonard and Mary Fox of Charlestown, IN.  She graduated in 1993 with an A.R.N. Degree from Indiana University School of Nursing and was elected to the Honors College in 1990-1991 and 1991-1992 at I.U.P.U.I.  She was a member of the Charlestown Alumni Association Class of 1964 and the Otisco Community Church.

Kathy worked as a caseworker manager for Humana and National Health Services in Louisville, KY for several years.  Then was a home health supervisor in southern Indiana and Okeechobee, FL where she also worked in a surgery center.

Kathy is survived by her husband of 58 years Donald Cox.  They were so blessed to be able to winter in Okeechobee and Lake Placid, FL for over 20 years.  Kathy was mother to Donetta Peabody (Terry), Mark Cox (Melissa) and Cary Evan Cox (SiDonna).  Besides her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ the joy of her life was her grandchildren, Sydney Fifer, Courtney Parkes (Tanner), Caitlen Cox Govonas (Justin), Carmen Cox, Shawn Cox Crone (Bradley), Abby Peabody, Danielle Cox, John Mark Cox, Tara Brown (Derek), Katie Peabody and 8 great grandchildren.

Kathy was so blessed and thankful for all the prayers, support, many cards and flowers from her family and friends during her illness.

Her request for expressions of sympathy may be made to the Charlestown Alumni Association Class of 64 to enroll a nursing student from Charlestown High School.  She would also like to thank Interim Hospice nurses and Staff.

A Life Celebration Memorial Services will be held at 5:00 pm on Saturday October 14, 2023; visitation will be held from 4:00 - 5:00 pm at Otisco Community Church 108 East Chestnut Street Otisco, IN 47163
