Katheryn "Kathie" Ann (Azevedo) Gillett

Katheryn “Kathie” Ann Gillett (Azevedo), 65, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed from this life into the arms of her Heavenly Father, on Saturday, August 14, 2021.

Kathie was born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley area of California and graduated from Lemoore High School. She loved the natural world and had a deep fondness for the culture and landscapes of Hawaii. Her favorite pastimes were long drives in the car and experiencing the beauty of the ocean.

Kathie’s life was devoted to the service of others and expressing her love for God, her grandson, and her children. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Stephanie Gillett, David Gillett (Marina), and Christopher “Topher” Gillett; her grandson, Sean Stiles; her sister, Shirley McGinnis (Jim); her brother, Steve Azevedo (Cheri), and the friends who loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and JoAnn Azevedo.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Friday, August 27, 2021, with services immediately following at Christ Gospel Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to the Christ Gospel Church Haiti Earthquake Relief Fund.
