Karen Lynn Stargel

Karen Lynn Stargel, 60 of New Albany, IN passed away on Friday, October 28, 2022, at Providence Care Community in New Albany, IN.

Karen was born on January 15, 1962, in Louisville, KY the daughter of Carry E. Stargel and Lenora McKnight Stargel. She was a long-term caregiver working at several facilities through the years, Hillcrest Nursing Center in Jeffersonville, Lincoln Hills in Clarksville, and Maple Manor in Sellersburg, IN. Karen was a member of New Beginnings Church in New Albany. She was active in her church serving in Sunday School, and on mission trips thru the Charlestown Presbyterian Church. Karen loved spending time with her family and that included her Cats who were her babies.

Karen is survived by her mother, Lenora Stargel of New Albany, IN; sister, Maria Thompson and her husband Mike of Jeffersonville, IN; brothers, Ronald Stargel of Clarksville, IN, and Steven Wayne Stargel and his wife Linda of Sewanee, TN.; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, sister, Sharon Stargel, and sister-in-law, Betty Stargel.

Karen requested that no services be held, and she will be buried in Charlestown Cemetery.
