June W. Whitaker

Mrs. Whitaker passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010, at St. Catherine Regional Hospital.

She was born June 2, 1929 in Jeremiah, KY. the daughter of David and Christina Arnold Adams. She worked for I.C.I. and was a homemaker, was a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Charlestown, Charlestown Fire Dept. Auxiliary and enjoyed playing Bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Clarence Whitaker in 2004 and a sister Carolyn Gilley.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Harper, Charlestown; son, Randy (Flo) Whitaker, Jeffersonville; sister, Emma Amburgey, Jeremiah, KY; brothers, David Adams, Parkersburg, WV., Phillip and Harold Adams both of Louisville; grandchildren, Josh (Amy) Harper, David (Kelly) Whitaker, and Derek Jones all of Jeffersonville, Brian Jones of Louisville and Cullen (Erin) Jones of Charlestown, great-grandchildren, Kelan Jones and Riley Harper; and several nieces and nephews.
