June Davidson

Mrs. June Orena Keating Davidson, born February 27, 1937, to the late James Henry Keating and Gracie May Pender Keating Snell in Madison, Indiana, passed away on August 7, 2026. A lifelong resident of Madison and Clark County, she was united in marriage to Roscoe Davidson on July 11, 1970, in New Washington, who preceded her in death.

June was a hardworking woman who had been employed at the ammunition plant in Jeffersonville, Indiana, and later as a housekeeper at the Marriott Hotel in Clarksville, Indiana, before dedicating her time to babysitting her beloved grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing the lotto, canning and gardening, quilting, boating, and dancing in her younger years.

She was a woman of faith and was baptized at the age of 15. June is survived by her son-in-law Kenneth Wise; her grandchildren William "Billy" Voris, Evelyn Whelan (Larry), Eric Voris (Michelle), Anthony "Tony" Voris (Tina); her step-grandchildren Candace Harrod, Shane Abbott and Emma Lawrence; her several great-grandchildren; her several great-great-grandchildren; her great-great-great grandchildren; her sisters Karen Sue Amick, Jan Kronemeier (John), Bonita Hysell (Delvin); her brother Steven Snell; her several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

She is preceded in death by her father James Henry Keating; her mother and stepfather Gracie May Pender Keating Snell and William Snell; her husband Roscoe Davidson; her daughter Betty Jean Wise; her grandchild James Voris; her brothers Robert Snell, David Snell and James Keating; her sister Inez Dunn; her brother-in-law Keith Amick; her sister-in-law Missy Snell.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Zion Cemetery, 5713 West 750 South, Hanover, Indiana, 47243. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
