Juliann Naomi Eickholtz 76, of Charlestown, IN passed away on Wednesday August 11, 2021, at Diversicare Providence in New Albany, IN.
She was born on September 19, 1944, in Lafayette, IN to Norbert and Marian Allgeier Korty. Juliann was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church where she spent 36 years as the Director of Religious Education. She was a 4-H Leader for 40 plus years, a member of Rural Youth and was known as the “number lady” at the School for Wee Ones where she taught for 32 years. She was preceded in death by a sister, Bernadette Korty.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Raymond Eickholtz, daughters, Sara (Ronnie) Seals of Marysville, IN, Donna (Thomas) Upton of Charlestown, Paula (Greg) Westerhouse of Monticello, IN and Teresa (Brent) Geesaman of Pennville, IN; brothers, Daniel Korty of Romney, IN, Stephen Korty, David Korty, Herman Korty, Norbert Korty and Isidore Korty all of Lafayette, IN and Tom Korty of Mulberry, IN; sisters, Helen Beiswanger of Monticello, Lucy Tormoehlen of Kokomo, IN, Dorothy Thise of Lafayette, Jane Synovec of O’Fallon, MO and Ruth Grider of Kokomo, IN; grandchildren, Tyler Upton, Dylan Seals, Amanda Upton, Brian Westerhouse, Logan Westerhouse, Joseph Geesaman and Emily Geesaman and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will at 11:00 am on Monday August 16, 2021, at St. Michael Catholic Church with burial in St. Michael Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday and from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on Monday at Grayson Funeral Home.
The Rosary will be prayed at 4:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Michael Catholic Church or Clark County 4-H, 9608 Highway 62, Charlestown, IN 47111.
