She was born on November 27, 1922 in Louisville, KY. and was the first woman elected as a county office holder having served from 1965 to 1982 in the Clark County Treasurer's office and the Recorder's office. She was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church and the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis M. "Dutch" Love.
Survivors include her children, Lewis Love, Jr. and Melissa Crawford both of Charlestown, and Judith Bussey of Marysville, IN; 7 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
