Judy Reed, 69 of Hanover passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at King’s Daughters’ Hospital.
Judy was born on August 24, 1946 in Madison, IN the daughter of Lester James and Katherine Dean Smith. She worked as a secretary and also office manager for the former Marble Hill Plant. Judy was a member of the Milton Christian Church in Milton, KY, enjoyed traveling with her family especially the Smokey Mountains, going to Flea Markets, watching old movies, crocheting and sewing.
Survivors include her sons, Keith Courtney(Dariel) and Kevin Courtney(Cathy) both of Madison; mother, Katherine Dean Smith of New Washington, IN; sister, Patsy Craig of Madison; brother, Roger Smith of Lexington, IN; grandchildren, Austin Kate, Brittany, Erin and Israel; great-grandchildren, Bryleigh, Lilly, Sage and Alex; niece, Becky; nephews, Lester, Joel and Bryan. Judy was preceded in death by her father and husband, Lewis M. Reed in 2002.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Hanover with burial in Crown Hill Cemetery in New Washington, IN. Visitation will be held also on Tuesday beginning at 10:00 A.M. until time of services. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Judy may take the form of donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
