Judy A. Clapp 69, of Otisco, IN passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at Norton Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.  She was born on May 24, 1955, in Louisville, KY to the late Earl and Sophia Walls Newman.

Judy was lovingly called Judy-Pudy or Mawmaw-Pudy by her family.  She had a bubbly personality most of the time and was very devoted to her faith.  Being outside in her flower garden was her happy place, and caring for her cats brought her joy.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry Clapp Sr; brother, Dennis Newman, and sisters, Janet Beams, Linda Gillispie, and Doris Long.

Judy leaves to celebrate her memories, her children, Larry Willis, and Diane Finch; grandchildren, Roger Willis, Devin ‘Nate’ Willis, Oliver Harris, Simon Finch, and Norah Finch; 3 great-grandchildren; her brother, David Newman (Cathy) and sister, Rosie Lawson; stepson, Lee Clapp, and several nieces and nephews.

Life Celebration services will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025, beginning at 2:00 pm at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN. Burial will be at New Market Cemetery beside her husband Jerry.  The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
