Joyce Yvonne Bowling, 85, of Charlestown passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016, at her home.
Mrs. Bowling was born August 31, 1930, in Stone, KY, the daughter of Tilden and Sarah Chapman Goff.
Yvonne formerly worked at the Charlestown Jay C Store for over 37 years and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church in Charlestown where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years.
Survivors include her husband Troy Bowling; son and daughter–in-law, Michael and Aimee Bowling; daughters Gloria Jean Bowling, Cathy Schwartz, and Cindy Bowling all of Charlestown; brother, Kenneth Goff and his wife Barbara of Texas; sister, Patty Williams of North Carolina; brother-in-law, Robert Glover of Charlestown; grandchild Brooke Bowling; nieces, Jerri Knight and her husband Paul, Dina Schafer and her husband Larry; great-nieces, Kayla Roberts and her husband Matt and Makenzie Schafer; great-nephews, Tyler Knight and his wife Emily, Ethan Schafer and Trey Schafer; great-great-nieces, Reese Roberts, Remie Roberts and Hadley Knight.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church with burial in Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown and after 11:00 A.M. Friday at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church until time of service.
