Mrs. Baker was born on Feb 6, 1924 in Osgood, IN to Ira and Goldie Beach Vanvolkenburg and died Tuesday June 10, 2008 at Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany, IN.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David E. Baker, great grandson Derek Henry and 4 brothers and 3 sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Rita (Danny) Miller of Lexington, IN and Patricia Wheeler of Charlestown, son; Donnie (Marcida) Baker of Sellersburg, brothers; Merle Vanvolkenburg of Decatur, IL and Erving Vanvolkenburg of Knox, IN, sister; Wynema Owens of Osgood, IN, 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
