Joseph Scott Pettry, 70 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Sunday October 6, 2013 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.
He was born on December 24, 1942 in Edwight, WV, to King and Lessie Cook Pettry. He was a retired employee of S. & R. Wood in Clarksville, IN and a former employee of Walmart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Tina Louise Pettry and a granddaughter Alyssa Pettry.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn V. Curry Pettry, children; Barbara Odle (Johnie), Timothy Lee Pettry (Linda) and Patricia Pettry (Kevin) all of Charlestown, IN and Joseph Scott Pettry, II of Sieverville, TN, brothers; King Pettry, Jr., of Edwight, WV, Billy Pettry of West Virginia, Paul Pettry of Sellersburg, IN, sisiters: Annie Shoup (Dean) of Ohio and Donna Mae Kyle of Virginia and 12 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday October 9, 2013 at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown. Visitation will be after 12 p.m. on Wednesday.
