Joseph Homer Montgomery 89, of Hanover passed away Thursday November 3, 2011 at King’s Daughters Hospital.
He was born on August 19, 1922 in Clark County, IN the Son of Arley and Myra Montgomery.
Mr. Montgomery was a farmer his entire life in the Saluda area and a U.S. Army veteran of W.W. II and a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 72 years Naomi Tucker Montgomery; daughter, Nancy Montgomery(Mike), Mason, OH; Donald Montgomery, Seymour, IN; brother, Sam Montgomery, Nabb, IN; sister, Ruth Reed, New Washington; grandchildren, Cathy Moore, New Albany, Jamey Zurcher, Denver, CO, Todd Montgomery, Mason, OH and Rick Montgomery, Indianapolis; great-grandchildren, Kendall and Kora Miller, Denver, CO, Josh Goode, New Albany, IN and Alex Moore, China. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Marie Bradbury.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Grayson Funeral Home, New Washington with burial in New Prospect Cemetery. Visitation will held from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Saturday and after 1:00 P.M. Sunday until time of service.
