John Paul Waters

John Paul Waters 59 of Charlestown, IN passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on June 6, 1964, in Madison, IN to George and Margaret Gregory Waters.  John was a member of First Baptist Church in Charlestown.  John enjoyed being outside, hunting mushrooms, hunting and fishing, and spending time at home and with his family.  John was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Harry Waters and Eddie Waters

John is survived by his wife of 33 years, Laura Darrah Waters; daughter, Hannah Loveland and her husband, Jacob of Charlestown; son, Joshua Waters of New Albany, IN; brothers, Lyman Waters and his wife, Beverly of Charlestown and Robert Waters of Jeffersonville, IN; sister, Effie Allen of Charlestown; sister-in-law, Barbara Waters of Virginia; and two grandchildren. Arwen Loveland and Galadriel Loveland.

Life Celebration Services will be at 11:00 am on Friday, July 21, 2023, at First Baptist Church with burial in Charlestown Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown and after 9:00 am on Friday at the church.
