John Spear

John Spear, 66, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at Clark Memorial Hospital

He was born on September 30, 1954 in Jeffersonville, IN  to Marshall and Irma Huffmon Spear. John was a graduate of Silver Creek High School, a retired pipefitter from JeffBoat, and a member of the Teamsters Local 89. John was someone who enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, and fishing.  He also loved the time he was able to spend with his kids and grandkids.

He is preceded in death by his Father, Marshall Spear;  Mother, Irma Spear;  Son, John Jason Spear;  and his Brother, William Spear.

John is survived by his Daughters, Jamie (Brian) Aaron of Charlestown, Jennifer Abbott (Scott) of Charlestown;  Son, Jeremy (Megan) Spear of Charlestown;  Brothers, Ralph (Anita) Spear of Charlestown, Tom (Karen) Spear of Memphis, IN, Steve (Valerie) Spear of Sellersburg, IN;  Sister, Joyce (Steve) Broady of Minnesota; Daughter-in-law, Cindy Spear; Grandchildren: Ashley DeMarco, Brittany DeMarco Mariah DeMarco, Donnie Roark, Alexis Spear, Megan Spear, Hallie Pool, Connor Aaron, Caleb Aaron, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 02:00 PM on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the Grayson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of the service.  There will be a meal served at the Charlestown A&E Center to follow the graveside services.
