John Randy Kaelin

John Randy Kaelin, 71 of Charlestown passed away on Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at Wedgewood Manor in Clarksville, IN.

Randy was born on November 12, 1945 in Charlestown, IN the son of Edgar Anthony and Bura May Reynolds Kaelin. He was a retired Technician for Duplicator Sales & Service and also a former teacher at Victory Baptist Christian School and Charlestown Christian Academy. Randy was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, enjoyed his hobby of model cars where he won several awards. He also was very active in sharing his faith. Randy also was a U. S. Army Veteran of the Viet Nam War.

Survivors include his sons, John R. Kaelin II of Jeffersonville, IN, Tony Kaelin and his wife Sulayne of Charlestown, Sean Kaelin and Sterling Kaelin both of Jeffersonville; daughters, Tabby Herron and her husband Danny of Georgetown, IN and Dianne Rose of Scottsburg, IN; sisters, Sharon Carr and her husband Jim of New Albany, IN and Carolyn Beck and her husband David of Salem, IN; grandchildren, John R. Kaelin III, Olivia Kaelin, Brian Anthony Kaelin, Rhett Kaelin, Micah Kaelin, Blair Kaelin, Devin Herron, Desiree Herron, Scottie Stidham and Kassie Campbell. Randy was formerly married to Sharon Coomer Kearns. He is preceded by his parents, wife Gloria Fleming Kaelin.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown with burial in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. and after 9:00 A.M. on Friday until the time of services. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations in memory of Randy to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
