John G. Gellhaus, Jr., 93, passed away Thursday October 6, 2011 at his home.
John was born on July 29, 1918 in Charlestown to John and Catherine Lynch Gellhaus. He served in Clark County government for 24 years serving as Clark County Auditor and Clark County Clerk. He was a member of St. Michaels Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus and was a 50 year plus member of the Charlestown Lions Club and he volunteered for many years with the United Church Ministries
John is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years Faye Gellhaus, nieces and nephews, Thomas & Judy McCoy, Jean & Gordon Randle, John & Joyce McCoy, Michael & Glenna Todovich and Lee and Dora Klinstiver.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Charlestown with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation will be on Saturday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown.
