John Dale Brooks

John Dale Brooks, 77, of Charlestown, IN, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020. He was born on April 10, 1942 in Charlestown, IN to John E. and Edith Grimes Brooks.

John was affiliated with the First Baptist Church in Charlestown, and he really enjoyed fishing and hunting.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his daughter Holly Mardis, and his brother Carlos Brooks.

John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Ann Brooks of Charlestown;son, John Brauner of Florida; step-son Douglas Allen Brooks (Lynn) of Franklin, TN; step-daughter, Laura Jean March (Ken) of Louisville, KY; brother, Keith Allen Brooks of Florida; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, February 27, 2020 at the Grayson Funeral Home with burial to follow at Charlestown Cemetery. Visitation will be from 02:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, and after 9am on Thursday.

The family requests that contributions in John's memory be made to the First Baptist Church in Charlestown.
