John W. Baird

He was born May 14, 1913 in Charlestown the son of Edward and Rebecca Belle DeNett Baird who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Robert, Lawrence, Charles, Ted and Forrest Baird; two sisters, Helen McClellan and Rosalie Russ. Mr. Baird was retired from the maintenance department at the former E. I. Dupont Plant and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Charlestown. Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Savannah L. Huffman Baird; daughter, Janet Sutton (Gene); son, Terry Baird (Sharon); two sisters, Marjorie B. Spencer and Ann Mayflower; two grandchildren, Alisha Baird and Kelly Sutton Benton (Paul).
