Joe Ray Begley 66 of Otisco, passed away on Friday November 14 2014 at his home surrounded by his family.
He was born on September 15, 1948 to Ray Begley and Laura (Jones) Begley in Hyden, KY.  He was a graduate of Charlestown High School, IU/PUI, and Ivy Tech.  He retired after 30 years from Cummins Engine Company, where he worked as a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker.  He was a member of the Independent Brotherhood of Diesel Workers, Assistant Scout Leader, and helped his kids with Girl Scouts and 4-H.  He enjoyed working on the Begley Farm, gardening, and researching his genealogy.  He was also an avid UK fan.  He was baptized and a member of the Church of Christ.  He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Paul Begley.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Kerry Susanne (Bower) Begley of Otisco, IN. daughter Jacqueline Gayle Brosi (Brook) of Little Rock, AR; son Jason Ray Begley (Donna) of Charlestown, IN; sisters, Nancy Sanders of Charlestown IN, Alta Wheat of Charlestown, IN, Grace Wilson, of Nashville, TN, and Marlene Sizemore of Otisco, IN; brother, Price Begley of Louisville, KY; grandchildren  John Brandon Begley, Chloe Grace Begley, Lilly Ann Brosi, and Clay Joseph Brosi; several nephews and nieces; special cousins Rodney and Karen Hall of Speedwell, TN; aunt Virginia Hall, and companion Shetland Sheepdogs Max and Gabe.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 1 pm at the Grayson Funeral Home in Charlestown, IN, with burial to follow in the Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Monday November 17, 2014 from 6pm-8pm, and after 9am on Tuesday.
